The Fact Network is a combined community of everything fact related. We run The Fact Site & The Fact Shop and even have our own brand of clothing.

The Fact Network History

The Fact Site (formerly Funky-Facts) was founded in December 2008 by student and fact enthusiast Luke Ward. Back then, a reputable fact website wasn’t easy to find, so he created one! His goal was to share the facts he enjoyed, and he hoped that somebody, somewhere, would learn something new and share his interest in fun facts.

In February 2011, Funky-Facts underwent a major makeover and rebranded as The Fact Site. This year, more engaging content was produced, resulting in increased traffic and a higher reputation.

In 2012, The Fact Site became more diverse in topics and had 3 authors producing weekly content. This year, we reached 100,000 unique monthly visitors.

In May 2013, The Fact Site moved to WordPress and hasn’t looked back since!

Between 2014 and 2015, The Fact Site underwent numerous changes to become more professional and achieve a higher standard of writing. Our facts were researched more and checked against multiple sources. The goal during this period was to provide the best online service for factual information and the most trustworthy source for facts.

In late 2015, a rebranding effort took place, accompanied by a new logo and color scheme. By this point, we had 6 authors producing content for The Fact Site.

In February 2016, The Fact Shop was launched. Due to the large number of suggestions we had received, we established an online store selling our favorite facts on clothing and other merchandise. We are constantly expanding our range of products, with new designs being created exclusively for The Fact Shop, so you really won’t get these products anywhere else!

In December 2018, The Fact Site celebrated its 10th birthday by writing the largest list of facts on the internet! These facts were individually written and researched by our amazing team.

In 2021, The Fact Site launched its “ On This Day in History” section, which provides daily facts about events, famous birthdays, and special holidays throughout the year.
